Need More Of This In The US: Victor Wembanyama Convinced The Spurs To Create A New 'Fan Section' That Is Basically Going To Be Like What You See In European Sports

It's no secret that one of the biggest problems in pro sports is the fact that it's basically a corporate event now. We've lost the good old days where real fans showed up to games and weren't priced out. Everything wasn't a corporate sponsorship and you had crowds that gave a shit for the entire season. Now you get a lot of boring fans, real fans sitting at home and dumbass music blasting over the arena.

So for as lame as it might be that there are tryouts for this fan section, we need more of it in the US. The Clippers tried it out with The Wall and it actually worked out. It was a good idea and it was a fairly cool concept. Here's what I want to see more of though:

You're a star who wants to take a Tuesday night off? Fine. Hope you're 9th man can handle this sort of environment if you're in the hunt for a playoff spot. Not to mention it's actually a good deal. They are charging $999 for this which is basically $25 a Spurs game. If you can make all 41 games, which I assume you can if you're going to try out for a fan section, then go do it. I want to see more real fans at games. I want these sort of people in the limelight:

I have no idea if it's going to work, but it's a step in the right direction. Also what the hell is Wembyama doing this offseason? Guy is going from being with monks to training with Hakeem to hanging out with Harry Potter and now this. Keep him healthy so the Spurs fan section actually has something to cheer for again.
