ESPN's Graphic Of Undefeated Teams This Season That Are "Tested And Untested" May Be The Most Confusing Image Of All Time
You know it's a slow college football Saturday when the talk of the town is this graphic that makes absolutely zero sense. And listen, I'm no Socrates but I learned what a venn diagram was in like 3rd grade, and I've stared at this for around 15 minutes now and still don't understand what this means.
Also, are we sure this is every undefeated etam in the country? At risk of sounding stupid, I'm watching Maryland beat up Wisconsin right now (music to my ears) and it says they're 3-0 with wins over *checks notes* Florida Atlantic, Northern Illinois, and Towson. Would they be untested or tested or ... kinda tested?
This reminds me of that one stat account we had at Barstool with that Harvard intern running it one year with a bunch of obscure stats. Gun to my head I can't remember what we called that account but those were some simpler times. At least we have all these Schrödinger's football teams that are both untested and tested in the middle of this thing. College football, man, nothing like it.
