WATCH: The First Teaser For 'The Mandalorian And Grogu' Looks Awesome
Once a lone bounty hunter, Mandalorian Din Djarin and his apprentice Grogu embark on an exciting new Star Wars adventure.
I'm jazzed up for this for a few reasons:
1. Obviously, Mando rocks. It's a cool space western that has the typical star wars stuff people like PLUS brand new lore for the very cool Mandalorians.
2. Jon Favreau just gets Star Wars, man. He knows that we like miniatures, goofy puppets and other practical effects. He knows that adventure is the core of what makes the franchise great. And, on the business end, he found a way to throw in an easy billion dollar merch creature in baby Yoda. Not every franchise is good at that…
3. It's feature length! As much as I love the serial nature of the show, it's gonna be awesome to see that expanded. There have been plenty of times an episode has ended and all I've wanted is more runtime.
On top of that, they also added two interesting cast members to the universe with SciFi legend Sigourney Weaver and rising star Jeremy Allen White. The latter is playing Rotta the Hutt, son of Jabba, who is apparently a gladiator according to the trailer? Loving all I'm seeing out of this and it was also just a well done trailer. Basically no dialogue, short and to the point (so many trailers now seem to spend 3 minutes giving away the entire plot of the movie) and it highlights some of the new characters and effects.
I'm in! Don't let me down, Johnny.
