Marc-Andre Fleury Got Off One Final Prank On His Teammates Before Leaving Town, Turning Their Cars into #29 Race Cars

Two nights ago, retired goalie Marc Andre Fleury, three-time Stanley Cup Champion with the Pittsburgh Penguins, who since went on to play 8 more seasons with Las Vegas, Chicago, and Minnesota, closed out his career by finishing off the 3rd period in net for the Pittsburgh Penguins pre-season game vs the Blue Jackets.

He stopped all 8 shots he faced. Pittsburgh won the game 4-1. The story was probably buried a bit by an incredible day of college football, but a very cool, very heartwarming moment nonetheless.

As far as wholesome sports clips go, the few clips I've seen since Fleury returned to Pittsburgh to officially finish out his career with the pre-season Penguins have been about as wholesome as sports clips come.

Specifically this clip of Fleury and Malkin going back and forth.

Just some good pals enjoying playing hockey together one last time. I never cared for the Penguins back when they were on top of the NHL, but that Malkin video nearly brought a tear to my eye. It feels like I've been watching them play hockey on the Penguins my entire life. It's gonna be strange to see the Penguins without them someday.

But that final prank by Fleury… that's a bold one. Fucking with people's very expensive cars… you really gotta know damn well who you're dealing with if you're going to try and pull that one off. Clearly Fleury does know them that well. This is far from the first time he's fucked with his teammates cars. I gotta assume he used decals that could be fairly easily removed (or maybe not, Fleury is definitely a bit nuts), but either way, there's a lot of people in this world who after seeing their car vandalized with a racing stripe, wouldn't hesitate to hop in and run you straight over. Car guys aren't necessarily reasonable when it comes to their cars.

The #29, the flowers, the racing stripes. That's good stuff. A quality prank. Tastefully done really. Would almost be rude of them to have the artwork removed.

What a prankster. One of hockey's best really. Fleury has been pranking his teammates for years. Specifically him and Crosby have gone back and forth.

Him and Brandon Duhaime went back and forth for multiple seasons worth of pranks.

For another prank while with Minnesota, he just started doing the ice crew's job for them. Which isn't much of a prank at all. It's mostly just helpful. But it was still kinda funny nonetheless.

He also once moved all the furniture from some rookie player's rooms into the hallway.

And now he's unleashed his son inside the Penguins locker room, who you can see here dispersing some fake cockroaches just the other day.

Hell of a pranking career Marc-Andre Fleury has had. Hell of a hockey career too. Sad to see you go, Flower. What a ridiculous fucking nickname that is. Kind of terrible one to have really. But it seemingly worked for him. It made for the perfect nickname to leave a signature "flower" behind with all his pranks.
