‘One Battle After Another’ Star Chase Infiniti Was Named After Chase Meridian From 'Batman Forever' And The Phrase "To Infinity....And Beyond!"

I thought this was a joke the first time I read the headline - sometimes those pages like 'DisbussingFilm' or 'PooCrave' will get me for a second before I realize the typo in their handle; this is apparently 100% real, however. 

‘One Battle After Another’ and 'Presumed Innocent' star Chase Infiniti was named after Nicole Kidman's character in 'Batman Forever', Chase Meridian, and Buzz Lightyear's famous catchphrase, "To infinity....and beyond!"

Elle- “My parents saw Batman Forever and thought Nicole Kidman as Chase Meridian was one of the most badass women that they had ever seen,” Infiniti explains. “And then my middle name comes from Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear catchphrase: ‘To infinity and beyond.’” (Her last name is Payne, but she doesn’t use it professionally.)

So you're telling me her parents just threw a dartboard at 1995 pop culture and came out with a name as cool as 'Chase Infiniti'?! Kinda insane. 

It could've been 'Riddler Snake In My Boot', but something like Chase Infiniti is way cooler. Who even thinks to name their kid after a word in a catchphrase?! That's some real outside of the box shit right there, but clearly it worked out. She's a movie star with a sick name now, and after crushing in both 'Presumed Innocent' and 'One Battle After Another' this year, I'd imagine the offers are gonna be coming in left and right; so you better get used to hearing the name Chase Infiniti!

Can't wait to introduce everyone to my firstborn one day, little Oppenheimer Endgame.
