George Michael Is Credited As A Songwriter On Taylor Swift's Upcoming Album; 'Father Figure' Will Be Interpolated (Google It) With Her Track Of The Same Name

For those who don't know what "interpolated" means:

Okay great. Now that we're all on the same page, HOW EXCITING!!!! Once the tracklist for The Life Of A Showgirl was released and "Father Figure" was revealed as one of the track titles, George Michael immediately came to mind. George's Father Figure is so synonymous with the term in my eyes that I was nearly certain there would be some kind of homage or sampling of George's original song - WELL WELL WELL, LOOK WHO WAS RIGHT AGAIN!!!

There is an important distinction to make between "sampling" and "interpolating" however. I had a guess about the differences but Google'd just in case, and I'm glad I did:

You learn something new every day! So, judging based on these distinctions, we'll be getting something (likely lyrics, if George is credited as a writer) that will be intertwined within Taylor's "Father Figure." I also think this interview with George about how his own song came to be is pretty informative, too:

He explains that "the initial concept was for [Father Figure] to be a mid-tempo dance track." INTERESTING INDEED!!!! Perhaps we have Taylor's interpretation on what the song could have been?

Either way, I'm hype. Father Figure is a banger, this album will be full of bangers, and Swifties continue to get fed until music and lyrics come out of our eyeballs.

TWO MORE DAYS!!!!!
