Did Dillon Gabriel Throw A Subliminal Shot At Shedeur Sanders After Being Announced As This Week's Browns Starter By Saying "If You're Waiting For The Perfect Time, You'll Be Waiting Your Whole Life"?

If you haven't heard by now, Dillon Gabriel was announced the starting quarterback for the Browns as they look to make something out of what is clearly a "rebuilding" year even though it feels like they've been doing that for decades now. And his rookie counterpart Shedeur had a lot to say about it:

And in case you were wondering the relationship between Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders beyond clear competition, his answer above might be a good indicator on how things are going. And if you live under a rock, you can't put two and two together in that the choice of words Gabriel used in "perfect time" is particularly interesting:

Now the wordsmiths on Twitter will tell you that it's just a common phrase and he meant nothing by it. But if you believe that, then I have some ice to sell you as Portnoy would say, and you're just oblivious to the fact that Shedeur Sanders himself created time. But that's why I'm asking if he did or not in the title, because these are the questions worth asking.

Personally, I'm all for what the people want, and I think most would like to see how a Shedeur start goes. The good news is that we probably won't be waiting too long to see that happen, considering quarterbacks generally get a shot at least once, whether or not that's for the Browns. And we will be there no matter what.
