Scott Van Pelt Cooked WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert For Her Caitlin Clark Comments Where She Said The WNBA Is Responsible For Her Monetary Success

Cook, SVP, cook! Unless you live under a rock, you heard Napheesa Collier's exit interview from this season where she fried everyone from the officiating to the commissioner, including comments about Caitlin Clark where she detailed a story that WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert allegedly told her in so many words that the WNBA is the reason CC makes millions of dollars:

This got a reaction from a ton of people, including the person who the WNBA should hire to be their commissioner even though they want nothing to do with the big bad boogeyman:

Now the WNBA is going to have to sleep every single night praying that CC doesn't decide to go to a rival league to see if those comments by Cathy would actually hold up. The reality is that it's clear to everyone with a brain they wouldn't, and while the league would still have people watching, the decline would be severe. Just leave it up to a legend like SVP to describe what everyone else is thinking: it's preposterous to think CC is someone other than a Tiger Woods tide that lifts all boats.

The good news for people who love drama is that the CBA expires at the end of this month and it's going to be nonstop popcorn. It's also worth noting that Engelbert probably can't stay silent forever, and being "disheartened" by comments is such a copout that it makes Goodell look like David Stern. The only thing to say about the WNBA is THIS LEAGUE.
