FIFA Unveiled A New AI Chip World Cup Ball That Will Help Referees Make More Accurate Decisions

Listen, people love to say AI is taking every job and that a Barstool blogger should be counting their pennies before it's too late. But what if AI were used for good? I don't really know if you can consider something like ABS in baseball AI, but you could probably replace those horrible umpires with an AI robot that can take a 104 MPH fastball to the dome and makes accurate decisions and no one would complain.

With the World Cup stateside next year, there's gonna be cries of VAR and referees being "shite" or whatever British people say more than ever. No one likes complaining about referees more than American sport fans, and soccer is no different. I will say that this new AI-chipped ball kinda looks like shit? Obviously you have to take a little weight off so you aren't giving a completely different ball to players, but something tells me they aren't gonna like kicking this ball with holes all over.

Whatever the case, if this ball can make VAR decisions not take 5 whole minutes, then I'm all in. Nothing worse than watching a soccer match and the play gets stopped for 5 minutes while they review a "potential handball" just to say nothing happened and continue on.

P.S. VAR vs Troopz was an all-time Barstool rivalry:
