I Don't Know Much About Hockey But I Can Tell You This Play By The Sharks Goalie Alex Nedeljkovic Was A Bad One
Hockey baby! Circle the pucks, pucks on nets, skate, pucks in deep etc etc etc. I'm not going to pretend I'm some hockey expert, though I will say the game on tv does no justice when you are there in person. It really is just lightning speed, hard hits, fights, guys with names like an eye chart, what more could you want? I enjoy the playoff hockey games a ton because it always feels like when you flip on the tv every shot is a jolt of adrenaline and unpredictably. You watch the fans live and die with every shot, plus watching our streams of hockey lunatic fans like Frankie, Marina, Biz, Whit, Murls, Feits, and Frank The Tank make it that much more entertaining. It's awesome.
Again, I am not the one to speak about hockey strategy or plays or skills or really anything, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the goalie here may a BRUTAL mistake. You watch it for about three seconds, and you can tell bad play. The announcers confirm it, just way too far for a goalie to come out, just absurd.
I did have one question though watching it back, and hindsight is 20/20, but when the guy with the puck sees the goalie get close enough to him and his teammate skating to the left ahead of a defender ... wouldn't a pass to him have resulted in the easiest goal of all time? Just look at the screen shot again ...
Maybe that's just me … and again I don't know shit about hockey, but it looked like a quick pass was a move to me.
