The Pats Are BACK Thanks To Drake Maye Being One Of The Best QBs In The League

I mean…wow.
The Patriots just beat the New Orleans Saints and the NFL refs. Jerry will have more on this, I'm sure.
But look at that stat line for the two Patriots running backs. WOOOOOOOOOF.
A total of 22 carries for 45 yards on the day. That's an embarrassing low 2.04 yards per carry against the 19th-ranked run defense in the NFL heading into week per DVOA. They couldn't run the ball…and yet they won a tough game on the road.
They won because second-year quarterback Drake Maye continues to look like one of the best signal-callers in the NFL.
Maye had a perfect 158.3 passer rating in the first half, going 11/13 for 185 yards and 3 TDs.
Look at this throw.
And again…this one after a terrible offensive PI call against the Patriots.
This one was Maye's best throw of the day…and was wiped away by another terrible pass interference call against Stefon Diggs.
Maye ended up 18 of 26 for 261 yards passing and 3 TDs PLUS another 28 yards rushing. But he played much better than those numbers.
Especially when you consider that his team could not run the ball at all. I mean, no threat of a run whatsoever.
Yep, 22 carries for 45 yards from your backs…and you win on the road.
Drake Maye is coming, folks. In fact, he might already be here.
