Yesterday Micah Parsons Proved He's Worth Every Dollar And a Monster Not To Be Trifled With As He Won The Packers a Football Game By Himself

Going into Sunday there was some noise, stupid noise at that, about Micah Parsons' impact so far as a Green Bay Packer. Sure if you only look at sack numbers like a dumb dumb, you'd draw the conclusion that he's been a bust. Then you look at pressure rate, double teams drawn, eye test and all that stuff to see the real story. Parsons has been a fucking menace. He's everything you could ask for when you make a trade like that. Worth every damn penny. Yesterday in Arizona he broke free and ended the Arizona Cardinals.

Truly a game-breaking performance. Crazy that he's never had three sacks in a game until yesterday. I guess just a bunch of 2.5 efforts. The final sack was massive, as it put the Cards behind the sticks late and led to the winning stop.

Another aspect that the numbers may not show is how Parsons opens the door for other guys to take over. While Parsons gets double teamed, Rashan Gary runs free. Here he flipped the game on its head with the forced fumble.

Afterwards the data backed up the Parsons impact. He's pretty much the best pass rusher in the sport.

On top of all this, if you watch the games you'll see Parsons gets held more than just about anyone on the field.

This isn't new for Micah though, as the no-call holdings were very much a thing during his Cowboys days. Didn't stop him from taking a shot at Jerry though when he was asked about finally getting a call.

He's a real life monster and I can't believe he's mine.

As for the Packers as a team? I still don't know if they're great. The record says 4-1-1 and possibly the best record in the NFC if Tampa loses tonight. Within that you have a loss to the Browns, a tie against the Cowboys, and tight wins over the Cardinals and Bengals. You also have a dominant win over the Lions in there. At the end of the day winning in the NFL isn't easy and if you look around the league there are plenty of good teams who believe they should look better. Nothing wrong with 4-1-1 with a ton of room for improvement.

I didn't like a lot of Matt LaFleur's decision making in this game, but with the game on the line you gotta tip your cap to him going for it here rather than settling for the long game-tying FG attempt. Love made such a good play here to keep the drive going.

LaFleur simply has to learn to let Love air it out rather than getting cute with these jet motion plays that go nowhere but backwards. Again, room for improvement. Next up? Oh just a Sunday Night Football clash in Pittsburgh against Aaron Rodgers.

P.S. You see the Giants can't hit an extra point and the Jets won't even attempt a 60 yarder, meanwhile the Packers found Lucas Havrisik sitting on his couch ready to become a substitute teacher. Yesterday he set a franchise record for this 61 yard bomb that he made with ease.
