By The Grace Of God, Snapple Announced That Glass Bottles Are Returning To Stores This Month
Mario Tama. Getty Images.USA TODAY- New Yorkers know it, love it and miss it: Snapple in glass bottles, which is making a limited return to NYC to pay tribute to its Brooklyn birthplace. "Few things are more nostalgic than the beloved Snapple Glass Bottle. From the famous Snapple Lady to the regular guest spot on Seinfeld episodes, Snapple has been a staple in households for decades," the company said in a statement.
According to Snapple, the promotion is "all about a hometown hero returning." Snapple's limited-edition glass bottles are available at select retailers and local bodegas in the New York area from October to December or while supplies last.
The company, now known as Keurig Dr. Pepper, switched the bottles from glass to plastic following the 2018 deal.
The limited-edition glass bottles will be available for purchase at CVS, Shoprite, Stop & Shop, and local bodegas in the New York area.
From "Kiwi Strawberry" to "Snapple Apple," here are the five "fan-favorite" lineup of flavors:
- Snapple Apple
- Kiwi Strawberry
- Peach Tea
- Zero Sugar Peach Tea
- Lemon Tea
Remember when people were saying New York City was dead? To borrow a phrase, what a bunch of fucking idiots. While the rest of the country has to continue drinking Snapple out of boring ass plastic bottles because Mother Nature asked or some shit, the capital of the planet gets to drink The Best Stuff On Earth (do they even use that phrase anymore?) out of glass just as the good Lord intended for two months or "while supplies last".
That last part is key since I fully plan on hitting up the closest stores that stock these bottles and hoarding them like they are toilet paper right as COVID started really cooking here in the states. My poor children never tasting that sweet nectar flowing out of a glass is a wrong I intend to right ASAP. I also imagine the return of glass bottles means the return of the metal bottle tops that you can pop like a Jeopardy clicker, which is like getting a free toy along with your beverage and Snapple Fact. You truly don't realize what they took from us until we get it back.
Now lets work on free plastic bags being offered once again at the grocery store.
