Vladdy Guerrero Jr. Rocking An Auston Matthews Maple Leafs Jersey Before Tonight's Game 7 Is Quite The Choice

It's certainly a decision to rock a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey hours before Game 7 of the ALCS. It's even more a decision to make it an Auston Matthews jersey. 

I liked the Blue Jays today heading into this game because the offense is just that good, but now I have no idea. Either Vladdy doesn't know anything about the Maple Leafs or he doesn't care and is willing to take on all the bad juju that comes with it. This isn't exactly a guy who struggles to find confidence. 

The numbers back it all up. He's been unbelievable this postseason. Borderline un-pitchable. If he's up and first base is open tonight Mariners manager Dan Wilson better walk him. Challenge him and you will regret it. 

But that Maple Leafs jersey, man. That's something. Either he breaks that curse tonight and the city of Toronto rejoices as their eternal fate of failure is broken for good, or we look back at that clip of him walking in and point to that being the moment the Blue Jays lost it all. 

Game 7 baby. George Kirby vs. Shane Bieber. Virtually everyone is going to have cleats on tonight, ready to give at least an inning of work. Nothing like it.
