The Indiana Pacers Can't Stop Winning: Playoff Hero Aaron Nesmith Signs A Contract Extension To Stay With The Team

It's supposed to be a down year for the Indiana Pacers with Tyrese Haliburton sitting out, no real starting center on the roster, and now we've got rookies taking the cops on high speed chases. BUT, to that I say life is all about perspective, you've got to look at this season with a glass half full. Look at it this way, We now get to see some younger guys step up at PG, We don't just have 1 center - we have 4, Indiana drafted a rookie whose gut instinct is to never surrender and not give up. The wins keep coming too, now Pacer fans have another reason to be excited - one of the most underrated players in the NBA just signed an extension to stay a few more years.

With the all the buzzer beaters last season, Hali gets most of the credit for last season's historic playoff run, but the foundation for all of that was Aaron Nesmith. Hustle plays like chase down blocks against Milwaukee, put back rebounds on free throws against Cleveland, and hitting a billion 4th quarter 3's against the Knicks. You can't take Nesmith out of the equation, and still win those games.

Every team needs their DAWG, and while Indiana has a few on the roster, none are scrappier than Nesmith. The man that the Boston Celtics claimed was worth a paper clip and a piece of string has become one of the most essential players in the Pacers starting 5, and will be needed more than ever in a season where everyone needs to step up.
