The Free Concessions Experience At Coastal Carolina Football Games Is Special

Special stuff here from at Brooks Stadium. Yeah, Coastal Carolina might be a far cry away from the Grayson McCall QB era, but the good news is that they smoked Marshall last night as 6.5 underdogs and McCall is the offensive analyst at the program. Times are looking brighter and brighter over there in Conway, South Carolina.

But what is not talked about enough is the free concessions that College Football Campus Tour highlighted in last night's game. Listen, there's a lot of talk about discounted concessions at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. That whole "fan-first pricing" thing should be applied everywhere. But Coastal takes it one step further and lets you get free items. And not just free, look at the sign — 4 free concessions items PER VISIT.

Yeah that's right, you can fuck around and walk back to your seats with one hot dog, one bag of popcorn, nachos, AND a soda all in one visit. I don't know the math on that but in any other stadium in the country that's at least a $20 value every single time you step up to that concessions stand.

And that's not even talking about the beautiful stadium with that striking teal:

I don't know how those lines were nearly empty there, maybe because you aren't really waiting for anything, but I'd be coming back for seconds, thirds, fourths by the time we even hit the end of the first quarter. Yeah, you're not getting a $150 Dodger tomahawk steak  but free is free.

And yeah, maybe you can't do this at a stadium that fits 60,000 people because it's not feasible. But if you want to tell me that LSU Stadium can't afford to toss out some free hot dogs while their team stinks it up on the field? Governor Landry make that call buddy.

P.S. This was electric:
