Embrace Debate: Does Ohio State Have The Best 4 Or Best 5 Players in College Football?

So Liam Blutman went around the Barstool Chicago Office today asking a question that appears to be making it's rounds in the media this week: does Ohio State have the best 4 players in college football? I saw him bring up the question on Unnecessary Roughness last week, and it got mixed reviews.

I could see where people may look at the author of this blog and determine I'm being biased here. But take a listen to what Brandon F. Walker had to say. It was good for the cause to see him validate the discussion by saying Maybe. He thinks Julian Sayin is the best quarterback in the country, but is he a Top 4 player in the country? Obviously Jeremiah Smith and Caleb Downs both are. And Arvell Reese is up there, but is he ahead of Jeremiah Love? That's coming from a non-Ohio State fan but big time media personality.

Here's how 3 other non-Ohio State fan, big time media personilities answered:

Interesting. It appears there is a strong faction that believes it's not just Top 4....it might be Top 5!

And I have to say, I tend to agree with Titus, Tate, and Big Cat here. It seems like the discussion here is Jeremiah, Caleb, Julian, and Arvell....but if you just saw the college football games being played this year, how can you not put Carnell Tate in the Top 5?

It's every other week with this guy. Made huge plays vs Texas, Wisconsin, and Penn State. Talk about a murderers row of defenses! And if I'm being serious here, I really think when it's all said and done, this is how we'll look back on the Buckeyes QB and WR1 / WR1 combo:

So yeah, I'd include him in the Top 5 in the entire sport. And I don't want to be accused of being biased here, so I won't even say that Sonny Styles is probably number 6!

Anyways, here is Liam Blutman's list of best players in College Football:

Again, personally I think we have the Top 6. But I'll take 4 in the Top 6 from an unbiased Ball Knower.
