Trevor Zegras Is Back To Being One Of The Sickest Bastards On Ice

Trevor Zegras was on the path to becoming an NHL superstar. One of the biggest reasons is because unlike 99.3% of guys in the NHL, Zegras isn't afraid to show a little personality. He's not a hockey robot who only knows how to speak in cliches. He's extremely likable or extremely punchable, depending on how you take his personality. Polarizing is a good thing.

And then to back it up, he has some of the sickest hands on the planet. He treats the game like he's at the X Games, and he's constantly trying to win Best Trick.

But then he gets labeled as just playing TikTok hockey, he racks up a couple of injuries, he plays for a dog shit team in Anaheim, and all of a sudden the buzz around Trevor Zegras is gone. The hype around him started to fade away, and it looked like some of his love for the game started to leak away as well.

So what do you do whenever you need a shake up in your life to turn things around? Easy answer. You move to Philadelphia.

He's been unreal so far this season. 15 points in 13 games. He's only had 3 games so far this season where he hasn't put up at least one point. And then obviously that doesn't even take the shootout into account, where this sick freak is automatic.

Literally the greatest shootout sicko in the history of the shootout.

The Flyers aren't a great team by any stretch. But they are a good team for sure. A team that could very easily be right on that playoff bubble all season long. If the difference between missing the playoffs and locking up one of those wild card spots comes down to just a couple of points, the Flyers are going to get those couple of extra points thanks to Zegras in the shootout.

I guess that just goes to show you how much living in Philly can turn your life around. Now imagine how filthy Cutter Gauthier would be right now if he stayed in Philly.

He's currently tied for the league lead in goals right now with 10. But if he stayed with the Flyers? He'd be knocking on the door of 50 goals already.
