Build The Jaelen Phillips Statue After He Said Getting Traded To Philly Is The "Greatest Thing That's Happened To Me In My Whole Life"

Philadelphia is a hub of cultural excellence. The food, music, and art that comes out of Philadelphia is some of the best in the world. Philadelphia has also become a place of athletic excellence. 2 Super Bowls in the past decade. 9 trips to championship games/series since the turn of the century, with all 4 major teams playing for at least one title. Maybe it's not the same run that cities like Boston or LA have gone on, but it's still a shit ton better than most cities can say.

The fact of the matter is that Philadelphia is an incredible city, as long as you disregard a bit of crime and murder. It's affordable, it's walkable, it has an incredible amount of history and character. Yet for some reason, the city of Philadelphia continues to get shit on by the rest of the country. For some reason, Philly always seems to be at the butt of a joke. So as soon as somebody has something nice to say about Philly, they are automatically a hero.

And if Jaelan Phillips keeps talking like this, he'll have a statue out front of Lincoln Financial Field in no time.

How many people do you think have moved from Miami to Philly, and called it the greatest thing that's ever happened to them. And then go on to mention the weather as one of the things you specifically love about Philly. Listen, I love the shit out of this city. But the weather is dog shit. There are like 17 good days a year. Other than that, it's either boiling or frigid.

But I get it, man. Freezing your dick off in January probably won't feel as bad for Jaelan Phillips when he's playing with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. Winning makes everything better. It makes food taste better, it makes sleep feel better, it makes dealing with traffic on 76 at least somewhat bearable. Jaelan Phillips has a chance of actually winning for the first time in his career now that he's in Philly. And winning is the greatest.
