Netflix Released The First Five Minutes Of Stranger Things Season 5 And It Looks Like We Are About To Have Another Banger On Our Hands

First of all, I apologize for the missing 18 seconds promised in that video. But as someone that graduated from Barstool Blogger School with Honors (AKA getting paid to write mindless smut for 10+ years), I had to roll with what the tweet said since five minutes sounds so much better in a headline than four minutes and 42 seconds.

Regardless of length, that little snippet already got me hyped for the final season of Stranger Things not only because it's been one of my favorite shows ever since it debuted nine(!!!) years ago. But because they did an A+++++ job fleshing out the weird ass world that exists in Hawkins in Season 4, which people forget was fucking awesome because it finished before Andor had even had its first episode back in 2022, which feels like five lifetimes ago. Yeah yeah yeah, I know the kids rocketed into adults like they were injected by Barry Bonds levels of HGH over five season. Trust me, this joke was made like 10 times in the replies to the video.

However as someone that remembers how good the last season was and just started to rewatch season one to get ready for the final season, I love that they are changing the whole way we look at the show by throwing it back to Season 1 by revealing that Will is some sort of human Trojan Horse for Vecna. It always seemed kind of weird that Vecna would just allow a bunch of kids to foil his plans like some Scoobie Doo villain. But if he was playing chess while those nerds were playing D&D, we could have some real good plot lines that make the previous seasons much more interesting on a rewatch. I'm not saying we should root for Will to die in those seasons, but it's starting to seem like he's going to be why shit is so fucked once Season 5 kicks off. Which again, can't come soon enough in my opinion.

Like I said earlier, I will be rewatching Stranger Things this month along with Robbie and we are going to break down each season week by week on My Mom's Basement, which will lead us right into the first batch of shows on the night before Thanksgiving. So tune in and follow along with us for wherever this ride goes from here.
