Welcome To The Team: Jakobi Meyers Is Surprised He's Now Playing For The Jags Because He Was 'Talking Crazy' To Them Just A Week Ago As A Raider

We got one of the rare moves in the NFL where a player was traded to a team he just played against. That's the case for Jakobi Meyers, now a Jag, who played against them a week ago as a Raider. Mind you it was a damn good game too. Overtime, a stop on 2-point conversion with under 20 seconds to go for a win. But regardless, Jakobi was getting out of Vegas. He made that very clear before the season started:

I have no idea what to think of the Jags, but they are 100% better than the Raiders. You at least have a shot at making the playoffs with the Jags. You at least have a new coach who is an offensive genius there. You don't have Geno Smith trying to get you the ball. All of this seems like a step up.

But this is where we need a little peek into the locker room. I need to see Meyers meeting the guys for the first time, a couple days after talking a copious amount of shit to them. I know what happens on the field doesn't technically count, but we're talking about the two crazy positions here. Wide receivers and defensive backs don't forget a thing and take everything like a personal shot. They don't just move on, they fester on it and bring it up every single time they can. Feel like you gotta go old school and do some Oklahoma drills on day 1 just to get out of the system. Everyone knows that works in movies, so why not try it with the Jags?
