Did Our UFC Main Event Tonight Have A Bad Stoppage Or Not? You Be The Judge
Gabriel Bonfim defeated Randy Brown via TKO in tonight's main event at the UFC Apex, but the stoppage is already proving to be a bit controversial.
After getting dropped by a brutal knee to the face that ended the fight, Randy himself protested to the referee immediately, Dominick Cruz on commentary argued that it was early, and I've seen many on Twitter (including Ariel Helwani) who agree....
Personally, I'm okay with it. Yes, Randy was back to being "with it" at the time of the stoppage - but he clearly got knocked out and woken back up there. Brown's head fully snapped back....

….and there was a clear moment of Bonfim thinking about following up while Brown had his hands down, not defending himself….

I don't think the stoppage was that bad at all, and hell - maybe Randy could've survived; but I think it's a lot more likely that he woulda just taken more damage and the fight woulda been called seconds later anyway.
P.S. Check out our interview with UFC Welterweight Champ Jack Della Maddalena ahead of UFC 322….
