Klay Thompson Showed Up With Flowers And An Apology After He Was Late Picking Up His Girlfriend Megan Thee Stallion

Listen, it's hard to be a Mavericks fan at this time. You gave up the best player in the league in Luka for a bag of chips to the Lakers who are now destined to win yet another title and cement the King LeBron's legacy. They lucked out a little bit into getting Cooper Flagg, but if you can't get AD and Kyrie on the court healthy at the same time for a long period then you're cooked.

And don't even get me started on Klay Thompson, who the lights have been too bright for this season:

This blog is about him. And look, I like Klay. He's an all-time great, probably a top 5 best shooter of all time, and he's accomplished more than he needs to. Perhaps his greatest off-court accomplishment was securing Megan Thee Stallion, who he has been nothing short of proud of displaying:

And good for him. If I had Megan Thee Stallion, I'd probably show her off too. There's something to be said about a guy who can show up with some flowers, admit he was wrong, and keep it moving. He's already done enough in the NBA, let him finish out a few final years before he rides off into the sunset. The Mavericks failure isn't really his fault considering he was expecting to play on an offense that would open space for him instead of just chucking 3's in a broken system.

With that being said, and since I'm pro Klay/Meg, it does pain me to say that that retirement may be coming sooner than you think:

No one would blame you if you called it quits and got to spend more time with your boo, Klay. Good luck out there big fella.
