Brie Larson's Secret Role Revealed In New Trailer For 'The Super Mario Galaxy Movie', Years After She Kicked Her Ex-Boyfriend Out Of The House For Saying She Took Nintendo Video Games Too Seriously
LET'S-AH-GO! Look I am fully aware this is Barstool SPORTS but lest we forget, some things are bigger than sports. And also transcend the test of time.
Super Mario is very much one of those things.
Arguably the most iconic short king in pop culture history and certainly one of the most played/loved video game franchises of all-time too. At this point you got generations of family members who have all jumped into various green tubes over the years. Whether your flavor was original NES, N64, Wii, Switch... Super Mario, Mario Kart, Mario Party... they all go down smooth. And you better believe the magic mushrooms I take before seeing this sequel in theaters are gonna do the same.
Especially now that we got Brie Larson in the mix too. Go Rosalina GO!
You rarely see a casting reaction that's universally positive online, but the internet streets were excited as fuck for this one. All those years of being a giant Nintendo nerd really paid off for our girl Brie. Good for her!
“Hello, everyone! so I just want to hold this day in our hearts. Today is May 21st (..) I wanted you to hear from me first that I am going to be in the next Super Mario movie; it's called Super Mario Galaxy and I play Rosalina. It’s an absolute dream come true. I'm sitting here wearing my correct colors and I didn't have time to color my hair, sorry I couldn't go full cosplay this time. It's a dream come true, I'm so excited for you to see the movie and I'm just holding it in my heart right now and I can't wait to share it with you later this year when you'll find out but right now I know nobody else does yay”
Anyone who geeks out like that from getting a new gaming system will always be a friend of mine. Can't think of many celebrities I've seen do it, let alone in a very genuine way. And she isn't just putting on a show here, Brie LIVES for this Super Mario shit.
Nothing but respect for my Princess.
T's & P's to her ex-boyfriend. That one has gotta sting.
Here's a reminder of what Brie looks like in case you forgot.
To quote a wise brave man, "MAMA MIA! WAHOOOOOOO!!"

So hopefully this sequel brings the same level of good vibes as the first. But even if you aren't shrooming up a storm like me, it should be a fun watch. Definitely a perfect plane movie. I wonder who's gonna be the voice for Wario? Do horses wear horse socks? Is anybody listening to me? Have a great weekend.
