Against All Odds Shedeur Sanders Was Able To Convert A 3rd and 10 For A First Down

That's gotta be a top 10 NFL tweet of all time. I look at it this way- we all ride or die with someone no matter what. But usually, most of the time, we're in on the joke. Like when Josh Johnson throws his annual completion for the Commanders and I say "SUPER BOWL BACK ON", I'm (mostly) not being serious. But Shedeur defenders are not in on any joke at all. There is a sect of football fans who think the 5th round pick has a CIA conspiracy working against him every step of the way. With all the evidence, the game tape, the metrics, and the pre-draft interviews working against him, there are Shedeur fans who will see a completion to a wide-open Jerry Jeudy and begin booking a flight for Canton. Does it matter the ball was caught 2, maybe 3 yards across the LOS against a soft coverage? Absolutely not. That would be taking credit away from the GOAT.

You would think Josina is trolling with that reply. And we've seen enough rage-baiters make a living doing exactly that. But she's not. She's not trolling at all. And I don't blame her at all. We saw what tying himself to LeBron did for Windy, and Josina has the same idea. If Shedeur succeeds in the league it's Filet Mignon and private jets for the next 15 years. "More caviar, m'lady?" will be the most common question she will have to answer. And if Shedeur fails? Well, it's the coach's fault.

She can't lose!

Shedeur ended up going a Hall of Fame worthy 4/16 for 47 yards and an INT in his debut. And let me be clear, I'm not hating on him. He's a 5th round pick. You can't throw 5th rounders into games and expect greatness. And that's where his riders get in trouble- on one hand they are saying he's the greatest QB ever and should have gone number 1 overall, but then when he gets in a game and sucks, they move the goalposts. So is he great on his own, or does he need to be coached and developed like literally everyone else is saying? A bit of a pickle, ain't it?
