Is Alfond Arena The Craziest Barn In College Hockey??

We have seen some crazy fan bases during our three seasons of doing Chiclets University, but Maine may take the cake for the craziest. These kids show up HOURS before the game to wait in freezing cold temperatures to get into the historic Alfond Arena to verbally emasculate the opposing team. It's not just the college kids too. People come from all over the state to watch the Black Bears play and they are ruthless. Ruthless in the best way possible. Before the game there was even a giant outdoor fan fest on the football field. Bon fires, beers, great food. It perfectly encapsulated the state of Maine.
