America's Newest SuperTeam: Dickie V And Charles Barkley Are Officially Teaming Up To Call An NCAA Tournament Game This Year

Credit to me for not putting the Kentucky/Indiana game in the headline. That's the real story because it's in a couple weeks. Also credit to me for saying NCAA Tournament game and not specifying it's the First Four. You should have known it would be a First Four game and not a Sweet 16 game or something. All I know is I now need to get up to Dayton to see Charles Barkley walking the Gem City.

This also reminded me that Inside the NBA works for ESPN now. Completely forgot about that because they just don't use them like they should and college basketball has been a million times better than the NBA this season. So this is my reminder that something like this can happen and quite frankly we need more of it. I know they used to do the crossover stuff on ESPN where you'd get Bill Walton and Dick Vitale calling an NBA game or something. But this right here is what I want. Chuck and Dickie V calling a game between 16 seeds is the stuff we dream about.

Charles Barkley should be like an all-time QB in backyard football. Let him pop over on FS1 and call a Big East game with Bill Raftery. Go to the SEC and join Tom Hart for a game. I just want him constantly showing up from time to time to say whatever the hell is on his mind. And shout out Dickie V. The dude lives and breathes college basketball, has been through the cancer battle and back to calling games. This is the American SuperTeam.
