'I Like Football More Than Golf' - Alex Golesh Had To Talk About His Golf Game After Auburn Fans Lost Their Damn Minds Over Hugh Freeze Playing All The Time

You may remember the whole argument that Hugh Freeze was playing too much golf. If not, there it is right above you. Auburn fans, shockingly, didn't handle the golf stuff well. In fact they fucking hated it. Sure, the constant losing didn't help and they were looking for a way out, but still, you can't just be golfing all the time when you're the coach at Auburn.

That brings us to Alex Golesh. Brand new hire and day 1 had to break down his wedge game

Vet answer right there. That's a man who knows a setup question and won't get baited into making fun of Hugh Freeze. That's a guy who can navigate the SEC with quotes like that and this 

I'd say you should golf. Golfing fucking rules. I don't care if it's the most frustrating sport in the world and will leave you pissed off for at least half the round. You're still outside with your pals having a good day. That's all that matters. Plus you always, always, remember those good shots. In fact we need to lean into this way more. I want a SEC coaches golf tournament in the middle of the season. Throw everyone off their normal schedule, make them competitive and see who can get back to coaching. Make it a real skins game, with their money at play. They all have ridiculous contracts with even bigger buyouts, so it's a win-win. 

I won't put anything past the Auburn fanbase. They'll find a random round of golf. They'll find a hobby if they have to. And then if Golesh is struggling, they will lose their minds about that. Welcome to SEC football.
