Justin Timberlake And Chris Stapleton Dominated The CMA's Last Night

Hands down the best televised JT performance I’ve seen since he whipped Janet Jackson’s titty out for the world to see. He and Chris Stapleton crushed, CRUSHED it. If country music had to lose Taylor Swift then we get to keep Justin Timberlake. That’s a fair trade, if you ask me.

But the sneaky best part of the whole thing was when they made Florida Georgie Line perform about five minutes later.

Making these two dinks follow a real country star, in Stapleton, and a real showman, in JT, is just ruthless. I actually kind of think it was done on purpose, to be totally honest. The country world is so sick of Florida Georgia Line looking like fucking Nickelback that they just threw them out there right after some dudes with real talent ripped it up. “Yeah, sure you guys can go ahead. Right after the internet is going bonkers about how Timberlake and Stapleton brought the house down, you walk out there in your feather necklaces and manbuns using a Target smoke machine. Should go over well.” Ruthless move by the academy.

And for the record, I like Florida Georgia Line’s music. I just think, “I can’t believe I like their fucking music,” every time I see them.
