LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla.
The Yankees have been banking on their elite bullpen as a strength heading into the regular season, but they received a scare on Wednesday as left-hander Andrew Miller was struck on the right wrist by a line drive against the Braves at Champion Stadium.

Miller immediately walked off the mound and threw his cap to the ground after being hit by Willians Astudillo’s line drive to lead off the bottom half of the seventh inning with the game tied at 0.

Why GOD? WHY?

We’re still waiting on more info but everything coming out of this is that it didn’t look good in the dugout. Normally a guy takes a liner and tries to convince the manager that he can keep going, so he looks like a man. In this case Miller walked right off the mound because he knew something was wrong. Best case it’s a bad bone bruise and needs a few days because it was his non throwing hand. Unfortunately, the likely scenario here is that he’s going to miss some time.

What started off as a 3 headed monster at the back of this bullpen has turned into and unproven closer with a scary road to get to him. We really need to pray for Miller, so everyone put out your candle for Pres and light one for Miller.
