I’m being honest with you guys right now when I say I fundamentally don’t understand this tweet. Is Michelle Beadle saying we can’t poke fun of the D’Angelo Russell/Nick Young thing because Greg Hardy is a piece of shit scumbag? Are we not allowed to hold two thoughts in our head at the same time? Not to mention the fact that I don’t think any real person, person with a voice and a brain, felt any compassion for Greg Hardy ever. Yeah there are trolls on twitter who had his back but I’m talking about real compassion from real people. So not only is she wildly comparing this situation to Greg Hardy for no reason whatsoever, she’s flat out wrong about the Greg Hardy thing to begin with. Just so so bizarre. I feel like we go backwards every single day. Every day something happens and someone has to shout, but yeah what about Greg Hardy! Or what about Ray Rice! Ummm those guys are scumbags, no one really disagrees, they also have nothing to do with this silly little Lakers drama and to somehow put them into the conversation is a disservice to real victims of domestic violence.

And as I was typing up this blog she followed it up with this tweet. So now I got it. Unless someone dies or gets hurt we shouldn’t talk about things? Not to mention I don’t think anyone is actually upset at D’Angelo Russell. We joke about it but no one is sitting around thinking “Damn, D’Angelo Russell is a snitch, this straight up ruined my day, I’m MAD!”

Line up the strawmen and knock them down. The next person I find that is “really upset” about this saga will be the first. And don’t tell me pro athletes are mad, they are speaking from a perspective of locker room harmony which directly impacts their job and money, I’m totally fine with those guys having a strong opinion about this, why wouldn’t they?
