The Eliminator: Chappelle's Show Skits

Okay, now I know I’ve done a bunch of these in the past and we always have a group of people complaining about a snub or two. So I am just prefacing everything by saying that it absolutely KILLED me to eliminate some of the other sketches. The Playa Haters Ball, The Mad Real World, Wayne Brady, Reparations, etc. You can complain all you want about which skits didn’t make it, but these were my top 4. Chappelle’s Show was a goddamn comet that shot into our lives as fast as it left, leaving behind countless quotes and a library of classic skits that is almost unfathomable came from only 2.5 seasons. The Gale Sayers or Terrell Davis of television shows.
The Clayton Bigsby skit was on the first episode of Chappelle’s Show, which tells you that they wanted to set the tone on what the show would be about. A black guy dropping MASSIVE N-bombs as a blind KKK member in the first episode is about as aggressive a move as you will ever see in any form of entertainment. I had never seen a skit like that. And once I did, I was a Chappelle’s Show diehard for life. After that first episode, it became clear that Chappelle’s Show was event TV that you had to watch live. The Racial Draft was on the first episode of the second season and reaffirmed that the show wasn’t going to back down. The awkward Tiger Woods, the super lame white guy, and the entire Wu Tang getting drafted by the Asians. Unreal shit.
And then we have Prince and Rick James. Two absolute classics. I think 99% of the world has the Rick James skit/episode on their Chappelle’s Show Mount Rushmore, which is why I had to include it. I thought it may be unfair to compare that to the other three skits, since it is almost the entire episode. But no list of Chappelle Show skits would be complete without it, so it’s on the list. And then there’s the Prince skit, which is the reason I put this Eliminator up today. Just pure, absolute ridiculousness. We all know Rick James was on cocaine during many of the stories Charlie Murphy told, but I don’t know what Prince was on. Prince may have been a live, breathing drug and Prince was just on himself. Or he probably considered music a drug. And pussy. Dude loved the hottest chicks and is the reason Carmen Electra is in our lives. So make your pick below on which skit you would eliminate, because I don’t have the balls to.
