Talking Lax: High School Lacrosse Team Pulls Off One Of The More Elaborate Hidden Ball Tricks You'll Ever See

This hidden ball trick comes to us courtesy of the Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School Rams. And before we get started here, let me just say that you can tell lacrosse hasn’t quite made it big in the St. Louis area yet because that defense was god awful. Were they running a zone? Yeah, probably. But when you have the entire offense huddled around the ball, you don’t just sit back in your zone and wait for them to come fuck you like that. You send your biggest, baddest dude into that huddle and knock them down like a bunch of bowling pins. With that being said, pretty slick play from the Rams here. Adn they knew exactly what they were doing going to that far corner to set the whole thing up. That’s where all their little laxtitute friends were sitting. So you set up the play in front of all the chicks, get those pantie slushies going, and then finish the play toward your sideline to celly with all the boys. You just can’t draw it up any better than that. Now I guess we have to decide where it falls in terms of best hidden ball tricks of all time. For my money, I say it’s slightly more impressive than this Maryland one from 2011.

Did Catalino sell the shit out of that ball fake? Of course he did. Dude’s hands are like butter. But you have to remember that up until this year, North Carolina loved nothing more than to choke in the postseason. So of course UNC was going to get dunked on by a hidden ball trick in the first round. It was just a part of their DNA. However, I think the top spot in the rankings still has to go to the 2015 Johns Hopkins Blue Jays.

Just think about how much skill and precision had to go into getting that ball from Wells Stanwick’s stick into Ryan Browns. Usually you see the ball flip but this was on a completely different level.

P.S. – Gotta sneak this in somewhere. Since we’re talking about high school lacrosse already, shoutout to my boys at Springfield. Heading to the State finals on Saturday. If you’re a fan of Philly lacrosse, I’ll see you at West Chester East HS on Saturday.
