Metro- When 19-year-old Bradley Williams jokingly messaged a new bakery opening in his hometown of Canterbury, he didn’t expect his life to change rapidly over the next 48 hours. The student had been browsing Facebook when an advert for Bake Makes, new bakery opening in Canterbury popped up on his news feed. Bradley decided to go out on a whim and message the company. He contacted the page to ask whether they would be interested in giving him a lifetime supply of brownies and cookies if he received 20,000 likes, 10,000 comments and 5,000 shares on a screenshot of his post. Amazingly, the company accepted the challenge – on the condition that he got all of the requirements within 48 hours. Started as something to give his friends a chuckle, Bradley quickly turned into a viral sensation. Within 12 hours, he had met his targets. It had been picked up by people all over the world after Bradley’s friends began sharing as soon as it was posted to his timeline.

Oh that’s so sweet and courteous and charitable and those people needs those brownies more than he does and blah blah blah blah. Whatever. I just have one question. Or maybe more than one but let’s start with this. Has that kid ever had a brownie in his life? Judging from his charitable donation of the brownies I’m gonna say no. Because brownies are fucking delicious. Brownies might be the top baked good for me. I like cake but I don’t love cake. I happen to love pie. Cookies are obviously fantastic. But almost nothing beats a warm brownie fresh outta the oven. I don’t care if it’s a a corner piece or a middle piece. That argument is missing the point entirely. Brownies are GREAT no matter what cut you get. Gimme a pan of brownies and a giant glass of milk and I’m the happiest mother fucker that ever roamed this planet. And for this kid to give away a lifetime supply of brownies is just idiotic. Homeless people don’t need brownies. Brownies are a delicacy. A delicacy awarded to people with homes.
