Zuckerberg, Stephen Hawking, And Some Russian Dude Are Launching A $100 Million Program To Search For Alien Life

Daily MailThree of the world’s richest and most intelligent men are hoping to be the first to find alien life. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Russian entrepreneur Yuri Milner and physicist Stephen Hawking have revealed exclusively to MailOnline that they will be listening to signals from ‘Earth 2.0′. Officially named Proxima b, the rocky planet is believed to have the right conditions to harbour life and is just four light years from Earth. The trio are funding an ambitious $100 million (£76 million) project known as ‘Breakthrough Listen’, which will use the world’s most powerful telescopes to listen to messages from ET. Last month, astronomers found clear evidence that our nearest star, Proxima Centauri, is the sun to another Earth-like world.  ‘It came only a few months after Stephen Hawking and I, with Mark Zuckerberg’s support, launched our Breakthrough Starshot project, which aims to launch a tiny spacecraft to Alpha Centauri within a generation,’ Milner told MailOnline. ‘At the time, we hoped there was a planet in the Centauri system, but we didn’t know. ‘Now we have a definite target. That makes the mission feel more tangible.

As the biggest alien enthusiast at this place, this news excites me. Breakthrough Listen, Breakthrough Starshot…these are the first steps we need to take to find life on other planets and try to do some real life Interstellar shit. But there are 2 major problems with this little trio of Hawking, Zuck and whoever that Russian dude is:

1) $100 million is NOTHING. I mean thats fucking PEANUTS. Zuckerberg probably spends 100 million a weekend on zip up hoodies alone. Fucking football stadiums cost like a billion dollars. Fucking Demar Derozan got a $139 million contract to play basketball for the goddam Toronto Raptors. When it comes to SETI, $100 million is gonna last you like 72 hours. It will buy maybe 1 big ass telescope that you can point in one direction and then you just sit there and listen. Hundred mil isnt putting a dent in the universe.

2) The whole “Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence” thing bothers me in the first place. It implies that we dont already know where they are. Now, you and I dont know where they are. Maybe Zuckerberg doesnt even know where they are. But the Powers That Be know where they are. They know. Its just not public knowledge. I wouldnt put it past the government to actually encourage this whole charade just to keep the public assuming we dont know if aliens exist yet. Stephen Hawking is one of the top 5 biggest frauds to ever exist and I really wouldnt be shocked if he was just a government patsy. Get Zuckerberg to throw around some ashtray money and fake this whole exploration program meanwhile they’re probably already in direct communication with aliens and know exactly where they are.

At the very least we know the moon is a spaceship. Aliens probably use it as a little outpost throughout the galaxy. Like a guest house. They travel to the dark side of the moon, board their ship, and observe and communicate. I’m just as excited for Proxima B and trying to send spaceships there but lets all just at least acknowledge the government and the secret societies in the upper echelon of this species already know where they are.
