Fire Fighter Who Died In The Explosion Identified As Michael Fahy
Facebook – It is with deep regret that FDNY announces the line of duty death of FDNY Battalion Chief Michael J. Fahy, Battalion 19. Chief Fahy made the Supreme Sacrifice while operating today at BOX 3732 in the Bronx. He was a 17-year veteran of the FDNY. Chief Fahy served as a Firefighter beginning in 1999, was promoted to Lieutenant in 2004, to Captain in 2007 and to Battalion Chief in 2012
44 years old. 17 of em with the FDNY. Rose all the way to Battalion Chief. And worst of all he leaves behind a wife and 3 kids. I feel like a lot of us here in this Barstool world have brothers, fathers, uncles, and friends who are just like this guy. I mean I read this guy’s bio and I feel like it could be one of like a hundred different guys I know. Married with kids living in Yonkers. Originally from Rockland, went to Binghamton, his sister is a teacher. Devoted to work and to his family. We lost a good one. One of the guys that represents what the FDNY, New Yorkers, and being a father/husband is all about.
