Well thats the end of that. Took the police like 35 seconds to figure out that the dude in the video was an actor and not the culprit of a 2009 kidnapping, and the whole thing was just a loose coincidence at best. An internet witch hunt at its finest. I cant throw stones since I blogged it and fed into it, but it really is scary to see how weird and powerful an internet mob can be. I mean as morbid as it sounds you were almost hoping the video was real so that maybe it could lead to something. I see people saying like “Thank God it wasnt real” which just doesnt make sense to me. That girl is still gone and its right back to square one. Thats the real unfortunate part of it all.

But as always, the lesson is – dont believe everything you say or hear on the internet. Also, the lesson is if you’re looking to become some sort of Youtube star dont make creepy fucking movies with girls tied up in your basement leading people to think you abduct teenagers. What the fuck dude?
