RIP to one of the greatest Jeopardy champs of all time. No, she didn’t beat Ken Jennings streak of 74 wins. No, she didn’t win more than Roger Moore’s one day total of $77,000. What Cindy Stowell did was much more than that.

Cindy dethroned a 7 day Jeopardy champ while dying of Stage IV cancer. Her mind clouded by pain killers and the news that she only had 6 months to live, she stepped up and became champion. And what’s even more than that, she donated all her winnings to cancer research. Cindy passed away on December 5th. She never got the chance to see her episode air. But who knows, because of her, there might be a couple cancer patients out there that did get to live to see it. A generous, badass genius that deserves to go down in the game show history books.
