I Am Very Happy For Former Eagles Legend Vince Young Getting His New Start With The Saskatchewan Roughriders
Shoutout to Saskatchewan for landing the biggest free agency acquisition of the day. It was a tough year for the Roughriders last season after going 5-13. But they took a long hard look at the roster in the offseason, found the key parts they needed to address and now… well now I guess you can say they went out there and put together a ***Dream Team***. If I’m any other team in the CFL right now, I’m shitting in my britches knowing that VY10 is on his way up North right now. The Roughriders are clearly on a mission. It’ll be a tale of redemption for both Vince Young and the entire organization that is surely bound to end with a 30 For 30 at some point. And let me tell you something, folks. You’re definitely going to want to DVR that 30 For 30 and watch it on a random Sunday morning when you’re too hungover for anything else.
I’m just incredibly thankful that Vince Young found a place to fall on his feet after his NFL career came to an end unceremoniously. I mean the guy is a Philadelphia Eagles legend for Christ’s sake. Part of the Dream Team that went 8-8. Eight and Eight. Name me another team in the last decade that has gone 8-8 better than the 2011 Philadelphia Eagles did with Vince Young carrying a clipboard on the sideline. I’ll wait… That’s right. You can’t. Sure, maybe the CFL doesn’t come with the same level of glitz and glamor as life in the NFL has. But it’s a tougher league. It’s a grittier league. You have to get 137 meters down the field and you only have 3 downs or whatever the metric equivalent to 3 downs is. This is a perfect opportunity to Make Vince Great Again and I’m just thankful we get the chance to watch history in the making.
P.S. – Really can’t think of a better place for Vince Young to end up. You ever been up to Saskatchewan in the summer? You’ve got Regina, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon. It’s an incredibly underrated province. Feel like people always want to talk Ontario and Quebec and maybe a little British Columbia. But Saskatchewan? Fucking beautiful.
