Well that doesn’t look too good, right? Never the best look when you have a sizable role in a beloved children’s movie, and then you beat the shit out of a valet at the airport.

TMZ - Faizon Love beating the crap out of a valet, and getting arrested in Ohio is really good for biz … based on ticket sales for his next stand-up show.

As we reported, Faizon was arrested Tuesday after the brutal attack — captured on surveillance video. The arrest came 8 days before his headlining gig at Funny Bone Comedy Club in Columbus. Perfect timing.

Management at the club says they sold nearly 100 tickets on Wednesday alone … the day after the comedian’s arrest. By comparison, they only sold 24 tickets the day before. The spike puts his 2 scheduled shows on March 15 at just over 80% capacity. Also, management says no one’s asked for a refund yet. 

Hah! A tactic as old as time itself. Christmas is over. People aren’t watching Elf anymore. He can’t make appearances at Buffalo Wild Wings and shopping malls to sell autographs for 10 bucks a pop anymore. So what does the guy who is know for being in Elf and nothing else do? The ol’ “beat someone up for publicity” routine. And it’s working like a charm.

Ticket sales are straight jumping through the roof like it’s the ceiling. Everyone wants to go see him talk about this now. Why did the fat department store manager guy from Elf who yelled at Zooey Deschanel that one time beat up a guy at the airport? Better go to the Funny Bone and find out! Wouldn’t be shocked if he was beating up airport valets around the country. Made it his thing. Eat, sleep, beat up valets, sell out comedy clubs, repeat. Not the worst tactic I’ve seen to sell tickets, not the worst tactic at all.
