Stephen Hawking Wants Trump Cabinet Member Fired

CNNIn an interview with ITV’s Good Morning Britain on Monday, Hawking described President Trump’s election as “a definite swing to a right-wing” and a “more authoritarian approach.”

He was especially critical of the appointment of Scott Pruitt, “a man who does not believe that carbon dioxide causes climate change,” as head of the Environmental Protection Agency.

“He should replace Scott Pruitt at the Environment Protection Agency,” Hawking told ITV.

“Climate change is one of the great dangers we face, and it’s one we can prevent,” he said.
“It affects America badly, so tackling it should win votes for [Trump’s] second term, God forbid.”

Fucking Hawking. Does this guy ever have anything positive to say? It’s always “negative this, negative that, Trump sucks, you should fire this person.” Hey dude you’re British, this is America. We don’t give a shit about your politics except when me and Gaz fly over to cover Brexits so you shouldn’t give a shit about ours. I mean yes we’re all about grudges here at Barstool especially public romantic ones but it’s been 240 years. Maybe let it go.

And how about this picture?

Not to be mean but who the hell is that beer for? Hawking? Come on. I don’t think the dude who talks through an Intel computer monitor is pounding Guinness but I’m not a scientist.

Along with wanting Pruitt fired Hawking too offered this deep insight into Trump’s electorate.

He suggested that the appointment of Pruitt… designed to “satisfy [Trump’s] electorate, who are neither liberal nor that well-informed.”

Not liberal? The Trump electorate? Wow. Crazy.

For the record, now that we’ve made fun of Hawking, he is sort of right here. I mean if you like earth’s atmosphere, which I do, you can’t love Pruitt as head of the EPA. I’m damn conservative on a lot of things — like wanting to keep the highest percentage of my hard-earned money as possible — but climate change is pretty obvious.

Gina McCarthy, the most recent EPA administrator (under Obama, we’ll note) had this to say on Pruitt’s climate change comments and beliefs.

Wash Post“The world of science is about empirical evidence, not beliefs. When it comes to climate change, the evidence is robust and overwhelmingly clear that the cost of inaction is unacceptably high. Preventing the greatest consequences of climate change is imperative to the health and well-being of all of us who call Earth home.

I cannot imagine what additional information the Administrator might want from scientists for him to understand that.”

Would like to see Pruitt and Trump (and glasses guy Rick Perry) take climate change a little more seriously so our kids don’t grow up playing on molten lava.
