Dallas NewsProtesters called on Baylor University administrators to address racism on campus after a fraternity hosted a Mexican-themed party Saturday night.

The Baylor chapter of the Kappa Sigma fraternity was temporarily suspended Monday pending investigations by the university and its national organization, according to Baylor.

Photos on Twitter showed guests at the “Cinco de Drinko” party wearing sombreros and serapes, the Baylor Lariat reported.

There were reports that some students had painted their faces brown, dressed as construction workers and maids, and chanted “build that wall,” however a Baylor spokesman said the university had no direct evidence of students with brown face paint, the Waco Tribune-Herald reported.

An on-campus protest Monday drew hundreds of students, and organizers called for more diverse faculty and staff, sanctions against the fraternity and the creation of a multicultural cabinet through student government, according to the Baylor Lariat.

Couple things.  One, haven’t seen any pictures or videos yet of any students with their faces painted brown, dressed as construction workers and maids, and/or chanting “build that wall.”  Not saying it didn’t happen, just like to have a little bit of proof with my stories.  That’s all, not too much to ask.  Considering Baylor has no “direct evidence” of it either seems kind of important.   When I accuse college kids of being extreme racists in freaking brown-face I feel a lot more comfortable when I have documentation to back it up.

Second thing, who are these dumb motherfuckers who keep having these theme parties?  A “Cinco De Drinko” party with people wearing sombreros and serapes?  Have you opened your internet browser once in the past, oh I don’t know, 5 years?  The same thing happens every. single. time.   Not even debating whether it’s offensive or not.  Personally I don’t think a sombrero is a massive trigger but I’m white so I won’t tell people of Mexican descent what they should or should not be offended by.   What I AM offended by is people who presumably do not live underneath a rock having parties that have become national news stories every time they happen, ending with the suspension or expulsion of entire fraternities and sororities, being surprised when they get blown up.  Shocked that they are facing a firestorm on social media and getting marched on on campus.  That’s what offends me.  Dumb people.  I am triggered by dumb motherfuckers.

PS,

When is the last time you heard something good about Baylor by the way?
