This Guy That Consistently Takes Up 4 Seats On The Train Deserves The Guillotine

NY Post- “He takes up all four seats with his dirty feet up all over the seats,” said a rider who methodically took photos of the pro sleeper from the same angle every weekday morning for nearly a month. The impolite rider is Steve S., a 41-year-old electrician who claims he has to get comfortable on the train because he has a 90-minute commute that starts at about 4:30 a.m. every day. So he goes to bed around 10 p.m., wakes up to start his commute, then catches more zzz’s on the train. “I’m on the train for 90 minutes and I’m bored, so I sleep,” said Steve, who stands about 6 feet tall and was wearing a gray hoodie, jeans and black sneakers as he snuggled into the seat one morning last week. He declined to say where he gets on the train.

Yes, laying across 4 seats on a commuter train should 100% be punishable by death. Murder, rape, and inconsiderate acts on the train during a daily commute should all be treated the same by the American Judicial System. It’s the only punishment that would suffice in order to stop these inconsiderate animals. I don’t care if you’re 9 months pregnant and haven’t slept for 3 days- f you sprawl, you should be killed. The number of people who have gotten comfortable having a hibernation session across a row of seats without a care in the world is just too high.

Here’s a photo of the interior of a Metro North train just like the very one that Steve S. terrorizes on the daily:

I like to think the key to a happy work commute is courtesy. That rationale is one of the few things I can give back to society as a person of my size. An unwritten rule is that the 2-seaters are always taken up, and then the 3-seaters usually have 2 occupants with an open middle seat, for the overflow. That’s why it’s ok for me to sit on the LIRR, and I’m proud to say I haven’t sat on the Subway since I was an overweight 4th grader on a family trip to Manhattan.

But for now, lock up Steve S and throw away the key. Make an example out of him. This is simply unacceptable.
