Alexander Gustafsson Just Landed A Vicious Triple Uppercut Knockout And Proposed To His Girlfriend In The Cage

Uppercut city, bitch! Absolute domination from “The Mauler” for five straight rounds in his home country of Sweden. To be honest, I don’t know if Gustafsson has ever looked better and that says a lot for somebody who I believe beat (that motherfucker) Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. Now Alex has cemented himself as the #1 contender for the Light Heavyweight Championship once again, and will most likely face the winner of the Cormier/Jones rematch that takes place on July 29th at UFC 214. I say most likely because in the case of a Daniel Cormier win, they may run it back and do a trilogy. I wouldn’t agree with that decision, if it were made, but it’s undoubtably a possibility. If Gus gets the winner though, it’s a banger either way, and I’d love to see him hold Championship Gold after all he’s been through.

Alex called his smoke girlfriend into the Octagon after the official decision, pulled a John Cena, and proposed!

I’m not sure which assault was worse, the one Gus put on Glover or the one he put on them ovaries. A few weeks ago I wrote about Jessica Andrade proposing to her girlfriend after getting her ass kicked, and how ridiculous it was, but proposing after kicking ass is about as manly as it gets. There’s no world in which someone says no after that.

The rest of the fights were honestly pretty lackluster, and my picks were HORRENDOUS like I said they would be, but there was this sweet 28 second knockout from my +375 underdog Volkan Oezdemir.

Next weekend we have UFC 212, featuring Jose Aldo vs Max Holloway, one of the best matchups you could ever make. Octagon Bob has an interview with Max coming out this week, so make sure you look out for that. Thanks folks, have a good Memorial Day!

P.S. Apologies to anyone who didn’t enjoy my “preview” yesterday, I was kinda going for a party MDW vibe joke that some of you HAAAAATED, some of you loved. Critiques noted however.
