I Love This Grandma Who Is Spending Her Twilight Years Using A Hair Dryer To Trick Speeders Into Slowing Down

Mashable- An ingenious British woman has captured the attention of millions of people for her brilliantly creative method of slowing down speeding traffic. 64-year-old Jean Brooks from Nottingham, UK, stands in her front garden every day using a hairdryer as a fake speed gun, pointing it at cars as they drive by. And, it seems to be working. Brooks told the BBC that groups of bikers regularly speed down her road. And she’s having absolutely none of it. “It had to stop,” says Brooks. “I have never seen so many people’s brake lights go on, and all it is is a hairdryer,” Brooks continues. A BBC video of Brooks in action — filmed after she rang into a local radio show — has gained almost 25 million views on Facebook.

Love it. This is exactly the type of shit I wanna do when I’m old as shit. Just be a complete and utter curmudgeon for no apparent reason. I’m generally a nice guy. It’s how I was born. So I wanna carve out the last decade or so of my life where I can just be a complete asshole to people. Pretty sure that’s what getting old is all about. Go back and watch that video again. That old bag of bones could not be happier out there with her hair dryer making people slam on their brakes. Nothing bring her more joy in this world than seeing those red brake lights. Now some people might say that she’s simply lost her mind and using a hair dryer as a radar gun is the sign of a crazy person. Maybe so. Again, that sounds awesome. Losing your mind and going crazy is an underrated part of being old. People just give you a pass cause you’re old. That sounds like paradise.
