Tim Tebow Left The On-Deck Circle To Greet An Autistic Fan Then Stepped To The Plate And Hit A Three-Run Homer

(Source)- You can’t make this stuff up. Also, there’s video. Tim Tebow and Seth Bosch had never met until July 29 at Charlotte Sports Park, where Tebow, playing minor-league baseball for the St. Lucie Mets, was going against the Charlotte Stone Crabs. Tebow and his team will be in Tampa and Clearwater for eight games beginning Thursday night.

But back to that brief encounter on July 29, one that turned into something special, all of it captured on video by Seth’s mother, Ileanna. Tebow, 29, was taking practice swings in the on-deck circle, waiting to hit in the top of the seventh inning. Seth, who was 9 at the time (he turned 10 on Aug. 6), was at the game with his parents and his younger sister. And he wanted to meet Tebow. Seth, who has high-functioning autism, also suffers from neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that produces tumors on the nerve tissue. He has a tumor behind his right eye. He has a hard time playing sports.

But he made his way down from the seats his parents had behind home plate, over to the backstop netting near the Mets’ on-deck circle. There was a conference on the Stone Crabs pitching mound. A brief delay. That’s when Seth made his move. He began waving to Tebow to come over. And Tebow came over. Tebow and Seth shook hands through the netting. Then play was back in. Tebow went to the plate. And hit a three-run homer. You can’t make this stuff up.

“When Seth came back to his seat, he was crying,” Ileanna Bosch said. “And then Tim hit the homer. I started crying, too. How does that happen? I think God brought Seth and Tim together.”

Are you not entertained? ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!?!?!? IS THIS NOT WHY YOU ARE HERE?!?!?!? If someone had made a movie about Tim Tebow becoming a baseball player five years ago and everything that happened in real life occurred in the movie, we would have said the flick was wayyyyy too Hollywood. But the fact is everything that happened in real life is real. First He healed a fan that had a seizure. Then He started cranking bombs once He got His legs under Him in a sport He hadn’t played in a decade. And now He is greeting fans with genetic disorders and then crushing YABOs for them like He’s the Great Bambino. The fact remains that if you aren’t rooting for Tim Tebow, you are a humongous asshole.

And while we are talking about assholes, how many more miracles do the Wilpons need to see out of Tim Tebow before He gets the call up to the Bigs? Actually can we even be sure that the Wilpons are friend and not foe at this point? They just basically sold Jay Bruce off for straight cash, which doesn’t seem like something Tebow’s savior Jesus Christ would have been down with. I feel like if JC traded one of His teammates, He would have gotten AT LEAST two decent young followers in return as well as an Apostle to be named later instead of selling off a pound of flesh like the Wilpons did. Trust me, I know none of this Tebow stuff makes any sense. But neither did the Jesus stuff that happened back in the day. If it did, people wouldn’t have been terrified of Him to the point that they crucified Him. If you add the Portnoy bump now that the Wilpons are aligned with him to the fact that Tebow is about to turn 30 (when #MiracleSZN started for Jesus) and you can start planning the Mets parade now, even if are under .500 and every veteran is sold to contenders for cold hard cash by September 1st.

Also I know we talk about dabs a lot on this site, but this was no hyperbole the best dab I have ever seen in my life (sorrey Big Cat). Awesomeness indeed, Seth.
