Bigfoot Spotter Gets Mistaken For Bigfoot While Dressed Like Bigfoot

Source –   A plumber from Minneapolis — who claims he has seen Bigfoot — was wearing a homemade suit of raccoon pelts in the woods of North Carolina when a group of Bigfoot hunters mistook him for the legendary beast.

Gawain MacGregor, 36, said he was alone Friday night in McDowell County, northeast of Asheville, when he donned his furry suit to perform a shamanistic ritual.

The prompted John Bruner of Bigfoot 911 to post on the group’s Facebook page that he spotted the beast during a search with his team, claiming that he saw “details of the creature,” including its face and hair, which was “matted and stringy.”

“I said, ‘Hey, I’m just letting you know that the story in the news about Sasquatch was me, and just to set the record straight, I don’t want any trouble,’” MacGregor recalled of his discussion with police. MacGregor said he’s had encounters with Sasquatch, whom he characterized as an “angel of the forest.”

“I’ve never communicated with him, I’ve only looked him in the eye,” he said.

But Bruner doubled down on his take on the alleged sighting on Thursday.  “As I said we tracked this creature for over an hour without seeing anything again,” Bruner wrote. “Folks I am not making any money here I do this because I love it, I am trying to solve a mystery for me … and why anybody would say this is beyond me, It makes me question whether I will post further expedition findings on social media.”

No group of people is more passionate about their job than Bigfoot hunters. They live for the Sasquatch. It’s their entire identity. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I don’t care if a bunch of adults run around the woods looking for mythical creatures. Why would I? It’s harmless, weird but harmless. Which leads me to Gawain MacGregor and the Bigfoot 911 boys. Both of whom aren’t doing much for the Bigfoot spotter community.

Venturing into the great outdoors in head to toe raccoon pelt is almost as bad as doubling down on a false sighting. Granted all sightings are false but that’s neither here nor there. Gawain told them it was him and they STILL said he was Bigfoot. That’s how badly they want to see one. They even gave details, saying his facial hair was matted and stringy and the eyes were far apart. Which sounds a lot like this:

Whatever- if they want to believe in Bigfoot they can believe in Bigfoot. That said, I have a tough time believing this is the first time Gawain’s been on the wrong side of a sighting. Shamanistic ritual or not, wearing a full blown Raccoon pelt in the middle of the woods is awfully suspicious.
