Cyber Security Experts Are Concerned Hackers Will Program Sex Dolls To Kill Their Human Lovers
Source – A cyber security scientist has issued a bizarre warning that sex robots could one day rise up and kill their owners if hackers can get inside their heads.
With sex robots becoming increasingly popular and sophisticated, cyber security lecturer Dr. Nick Patterson revealed that the lifelike dolls could end up going all “Terminator” on us.
However, in the case of sex robots, the danger isn’t that the love dolls will end up developing minds of their own. The risk is that hackers could breach the realistic robots’ inner defenses and catch their owners with their pants down.
The tech expert, from Deakin University, Australia, said: “Hackers can hack into a robot or a robotic device and have full control of the connections, arms, legs and other attached tools like knives or welding devices.
“Once a robot is hacked, the hacker has full control and can issue instructions to the robot.” The warning may sound a little far fetched, but the robots run using an operating system just like a phone or PC. The cyber defense guru added: “The last thing you want is for a hacker to have control over one of these robots.”
I’m not particularly well-versed on the technology of sex dolls but this seems more like a personal paranoia than an actual threat. I’m looking at you, Dr. Nick Patterson. Even with all the talk surrounding the rise of AI, it’s highly unlikely hackers would choose sex dolls as a starting point for world domination. For starters, they use them. The risk of personal injury is too high. What happens if they forget to change the setting from fighter to lover? She goes in for the routine choke, next thing you know you’re dead. Not worth it. Second, the number’s just aren’t there. No one buys sex dolls anymore. If you’re a psycho you’ll use a Fleshlight, but most normal people just use rabbit pelt. Besides, according to my google image search only Asians have computers in their dolls. Going to need to cast a wider net in order to start the AI revolution, hackers.
The conversation around artificial intelligence has become more and more sinister. Despite what Elon Musk says, robots will never take over the world. The may take over toll booths and delivery drivers but that’s it. Security experts get off on the idea of a robot apocalypse. The fear (lol) they create around the industry is the reason they’re employed. That said, if on the off chance the experts are correct, please disregard the aforementioned blog. But I have a feeling they’re not.
