Stephen Strasburg Is On An All Time Great 5 Game Run
What a sicko. Nobody is more in the zone than Stephen Strasburg right now. And I love how he does it all under the radar. No hooplah. Goes out, does his job, dominates, and goes home. Just did 35 straight scoreless innings, most in the majors this year, and isn’t even considered the “ace” of the club, because Max takes that crown, and I’m sure Stras wouldn’t have it any other way. Look how nasty this pitch is:
Just how good is Stras this year?
WaPo - Among National Leaguers, Strasburg ranks behind only Clayton Kershaw and Scherzer in ERA; behind only Scherzer, Kershaw and Zack Greinke in WHIP; behind only Scherzer, Arizona’s Robbie Ray and Kershaw in average against;, and behind only Ray, Scherzer and Kershaw in strikeouts per nine innings.
Prettayyyyy, prettay good.
I’m not sure there’s anyone in baseball I’d rather have on the mound than Strasburg right now, and that’s including Scherzer. He’s just so dialed in, averaging over a strikeout per inning, giving up no runs, and looking more comfortable than I’ve ever seen him.
Between him, Max, and Gio, this is a dangerous club in October. And if Bryce is back…wooo boy.
