Frida The Dog With 52 Career Lives Saved Is Hard At Work On The Mexico Earthquake

For all our non Spanish speakers on here, those tweets translate to roughly: FRIDA IS A VERY GOOD GIRL.

At first I thought the story was Frida saved 52 lives in the Mexico earthquake already – but those are lifetime stats.  Not that it affects the status of Frida’s good-girlness obviously, just to clear up all the facts.

METRO - Everyone, meet Frida – the very good hero dog who works hard rescuing people from natural disasters in Mexico.
The lovely Labrador retriever helps the Mexican Navy search through rubble finding survivors.

Sadly, she’s had a lot to do recently.

So far in her career Frida has managed to rescue 53 people, including 12 people in life-threatening situations after the 8.1 magnitude earthquake that devasted Oaxaca earlier this month.

Now, she’s hard at work trying to save people trapped in debris after a deadly earthquake killed at least 245 people and injured more than 2,000.

And you know what?  I bet she doubles that for the quake.  A horrible tragedy that is about to get at least a shimmer of hope now that Frida is on the scene.

And finally, after a hard day’s work – the most well deserved nap of all time.
